A metal barn from Carports R Us is really your best option! Unlike a traditional barn made out of wood, our barns don’t rot or fade, they don’t require nearly the same amount of maintenance, and they’re built to last! Fabricated from galvanized steel, our barns are much stronger, more flexible in design, and more reliable than other comparable barns. You select the dimensions and customizations you prefer, and then just leave it up to us to make it happen for you. We’re here to help you get your perfect metal barn!
Barn Styles from Carports R Us
When it comes to barn styles, there isn’t necessarily one best style – it really all depends upon how you intend to use your barn, and on your personal building preferences. At Carports R Us, we offer several popular barn options.
Our regular roof barns offer a classic look at an affordable price. They feature a classic, rounded barn appearance, and feature horizontal roof paneling.
Our raised center barns include a taller center section, flanked by shorter sections on each side. They’re both practical and functional to serve your needs.
Our straight roof barns feature a continuous roof slope with a taller central roof peak. These barns are well-designed for handling rain and weather threats.
Customizations for Your Metal Barn
When you go with Carports R Us, you get the freedom to design your metal barn any way you choose! How would you like to customize your barn building? That's completely up to you, and you get to select everything from barn dimensions, to roof type, to steel gauge, to colors, doors, windows, certification needs, and more!
Barn Dimensions -- You can go with a small hay barn, or can design a barn as wide as 70'. You choose the height that's right for you, up to 18'. And what about the length? We've provided barn buildings over 200' long, so there's pretty much no limit as to how long your barn can be!
Gauge -- 14-gauge is a common standard for steel barn framing, but you also have the ability to choose a thicker 12-gauge steel frame if you need a more rugged barn. The steel gauge of your barn's metal roofing and siding are up to you, as well.
Entry Points -- Obviously you'll need some convenient points of access for your barn; we give you options there, too! You choose the number, types, and locations of your barn entry points. If you just need some a simple frame out we can do that, but we also provide different choices for large doors, walk-in doors, and windows.
Certification -- Where will your barn be located? Is certification required in your area? Carports R Us can design your barn to meet any needed wind or snow loads. And even if certification isn't legally required in your area, choosing a certified building is a great way to increase your peace of mind for reliable performance.
Gables, Trim, & Anchor Options -- Depending upon the barn style you choose, you can add gables to the front or back to provide a finished look and offer more structural reinforcement. Decorative J-trim can be also be added to cover any paneling edges. We also have an assortment of different anchors which will enable you to place your barn on nearly any type of level installation surface, including bare ground!
Colors -- Of course, you can go with a classic "barn red," but you certainly aren't limited to that. You can also select from among our many other popular color options for your roof panels, side paneling, and any trim. Prefer a two-tone look for your barn? We can make that happen!
More Ways to Customize, Too!

Things to Consider to Help You Get Ready for Your Barn
It's important to first decide exactly how you want to use your steel barn. Factor in how much space you'll need to accommodate all of your animals, equipment, and supplies. It will help for you get a good estimate of the length, width, and height of each of these items. This will help you be sure to order a barn large enough to meet all of your needs. Once you've figured that out and placed your order, here are a few things to put on your to-do list:
Obtain whatever building permits may be required in your area.
Make sure your site is level before we arrive to install!
If there are any buried utility lines on or around your site, you'll want to mark those.
Make sure to clear the area around your site (a minimum of 3' on all sides) so that our crew will have plenty of room to work.
Be sure to communicate which type of foundation your barn will sit upon (asphalt, concrete, ground, etc.) so we'll know which anchors to bring.
